I'm not responsible for your happiness, and you're not responsible for mine. How cool would that be??
ClydeClyde Haberman, Option Institute Senior Teacherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00337595620060088907noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2269969973581135706.post-88220163559851848172009-03-30T10:30:00.000-04:002009-03-30T10:30:00.000-04:00Great post Clyde!I remember when I first came to T...Great post Clyde!
I remember when I first came to The Option Institute. I was such a caretaker! I adopted the beliefs from my mother that "if you loved me you would..." - and so I did! Once I understood that we're each in control of our own happiness, I tried to teach, cajole, and lecture my family on how they could better care for themselves. You can imagine how well that went over! Only when they saw changes in me, saw me comfortably stand up for myself and at times even say 'no', did they become interested in the Option Process(R) and the tools that I continue to learn through the programs (Empower Yourself (http://option.org/programs:empower-yourself,15), Calm Amid Chaos (http://option.org/programs:calm-amid-chaos,16), etc) here.Liz Sturm, CFO - The Option Institutehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05493309447504063778noreply@blogger.com
