Integrity

FROM BEARS (Barry Neil Kaufman): A quote recently recounted in the New York Times: Warren Buffet - "When you hire someone, you look for brains, energy and integrity, and if they don't have the third, integrity, you better watch out, because the first two will (or can) kill you."

A bit over the top but the point is useful. Always ask for accountability with excellence. And always deliver it. Being your best is a form of self-appreciation.

  1. Hi Bears,

"...Being your best is a form of self-appreciation..."

Hmmmm....whenever I play small or hide from the world, whenever I don´t express myself, I don´t love myself. What an insight!

Recently I identified a belief which goes something like this: "If I show up they´ll find out and they´ll kill me!". It´s obvious, that I regard the world as a dangerous place.

So what do you do, when you don´t show up?

Yeah, you don´t wait for "them" to kill you, you do it yourself. You kill yourself, your expressions, your emotions, your words, your creativity, your love...you name it.

Seeing that pattern so clearly, seeing what I did to myself and how unlovingly I treated myself brings tears to my eyes.

Well, I think it´s time to embrace "being my best" and love myself.
